Last flight ever for this 28 year old Dutch lady: this morning, KLM has sent PH-BFC = B747-400 'Calgary' to Teruel, Spain.

I wonder if there are any dogs at all on Air Koryo flights. Too much competition for the Dear Leader!

United Airlines and dogs? Difficult marriage...
United mistakenly flies dog from Oregon to Japan instead of to Kansas City:

Well, on the other hand putting the dog in the cargo hold is not a good solution either.
During taxi in, I often hear a dog barking in the hold and I think "I pity you".

If you often hear that on an Airbus, it’s not a dog, but the PTU ;-)

Checked on https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/PTU - to no enlightenment :)

Two HYD circuits.
Green driven by engine #1 (yeah, the left one but green circuit).
Yellow by #2.
In case of SETI, you kill #2 and pressure drops in Y. When drop > 500 psi detected, the PTU kicks in, driven by Green Hyd, pumps up its failing bro.
Useful as Yellow needed for nose wheel steering and park brake if I remember well.

Thanks, chaps - bedankt, mannen! - with some difficulty I'll refrain from asking what SETI stands for :)

Sorry for that.

Single Engine Taxi In.
After landing, especially at places with long taxi, switching off one engine reduces fuel consumption. Not exactly by 50% but good to take. If taxi is short then not worth it.

Sure you'll guess what SETO is.

Not at all, indeed! But please refrain from unexplained codes and abbreviations. Those mentioned in the AIP should be clear to anyone in aviation, and there are some general sources of help like wikipedia, but beyond that I think all should be clarified. Try finding SETI on en.wikipedia and you may see what I mean...

Dog Irgo is back home from Japan, chasing cats in Kansas City. United Airlines organized a private charter for the German shepherd:
