Iljo Keisse on Twitter: My bike arrived a week later than I did from San Francisco... Thanks @airfrance great service, looks like you guys threw it out of a plane but forgot the parachute. Every year flying with bikes gets more expensive, then things like this shouldn’t happen.

Air France replied 25 hours later, that seems ok for online customer relations: Hi Iljo, we are very sorry to read your baggage was delayed! And was delivered damaged! If the bicycle itself was damaged, please report it within 7 days after receiving it: bit.ly/2xWlDvs. We remain at your disposal if you need further assistance. Thanks

Minor damage? I see a hole where the electronic heart should be, time will tell but won’t be surprised if this aircraft never flies again.

Nippon Cargo Airlines temporarily grounded
Japanese cargo operator Nippon Cargo Airlines will temporarily ground its fleet of freight planes after government inspectors discovered that the firm has been keeping incorrect maintenance records. The transport ministry began inspecting the Narita-based company last month after it was found to be negligent in reporting serious damage to its planes on multiple occasions. The inspection uncovered inaccuracies in aircraft maintenance records. Nippon Cargo Airlines told the ministry that it will suspend operations of all 11 jumbo jets, starting with flights that were due to leave airports in Japan on Saturday. The company will keep the jets grounded while it carries out safety checks...

Why enter this in a thread that is not related to the news and has not seen a new entry since 2015?

...A Rossiya Airbus A319-100, registration VP-BNB performing flight FV-1007 from St. Petersburg to Rostov-on-Don (Russia) carrying the national soccer team of Saudi Arabia, was on final approach to Rostov's new International Platov Airport's runway 04 when the right hand engine (CFM56) emitted streaks of flame. The aircraft continued for a safe landing.

The airline reported the aircraft touched down with both engines operating, an engine ingested a bird. Media reports of an engine fire are untrue.

A video circulating on the Internet showing continuous flame from the tailpipe for at least 16 seconds in pitch dark night appears to raise serious questions about its authenticity in the light of photos released by the Saudi Arabian National Football team showing the arrival in dusk.

Because there is no other thread on Swissport, except about their strikes.

But you are right: I will move it to a more appropriate thread.
