Was it that difficult to establish that there was no safety risk? The passenger probably had a name and a passport, he had no checked luggage, and he was probable able to explain in English or Japanese what happened.

When there is no safety risk, passengers comfort should be number one in the company rules. First 8 hours in the aircraft, then 8 hours waiting time on the ground, then another 10h45 flying time. Poor guys...

Ryanair flight #FR8976 from London Stansted to Alicante (Boeing 737-800 reg. EI-ESO) diverted to Bordeaux yesterday. Reason unknown.

Flybe BE-7110 Hamburg-Birmingham (Dash-8 G-ECOH) diverted to AMS Amsterdam this afternoon. Reason: apparently two male passengers, behaving 'suspicious'. The aircraft taxied to a remote parking space, where the national police (Koninklijke Marechaussee) assisted the deboarding. The two men were questionned, but not arrested. Police says they did nothing wrong.
