Interesting reading, @SR20, thanks for sharing. It looks like the market is growing cautious, and jealous.

I can accept that ADP is not happy (but why?). I cannot accept that it can block the arrival of Alibaba at Liege.

With only a 25% share, they basically cannot - but the French are said to be good at negotiating...

They can: 25% is a blocking minority.

FedEx seems not to be happy. FedEx is now a major actor at Liège. And FedEx has his major european hub in Paris ! They are in a good position to lobby at ADP !

I'm not sure we see the whole picture...
Alibaba is ground logistics mainly. The amount of planned flights is very low.
On the other hand fedex, which may have big plans, has show very little wish for expansion : they keep cologne and paris as global hub.

I can understand that adp wants to protect paris as their logitics platform, the fact that a small player becomes a big one is not to please them.
But defending fedex ?
Maybe ground traffic for fedex in liege is a lot more important that we can see.

It will force everyone to show their hidden agenda, this cant be bad.

Having 2 major global player fighting for LGG cant be bad either, its time to get promisses written down maybe

It looks like ADP has a conflict of interests here. In such a case, their representatives on the Board of LGG should normally abstain if there is a vote on the Alibaba matter.

Good news for LGG? No heavy cargo planes at Maastricht due to runway restrictions.

Maybe a way to circumvent the minority veto right of ADP at the Board? ;)

If they piss off one of their biggest client its not a great plan, veto or not...
But fedex should be more clear if they have big plans

Apparently thr fight was about 22 hectares...
Which is weird because LGG has 470 hectares available but the closest to the track the better ofc ;)
