Right, maybe I expressed myself wrong and should I have stated "has he once more technical problems". But I can think of one technical diversion, yes. Last year a friend of me living at the Belgian coast, who doesn't know anything from planes, saw the jdl turning round and rounds and rounds at our coast to dump his fuel so he could fly back to Brussels. There you have your technical diversion

Not every situation where a plane has to dump fuel before returning back to its base or divert to a nearby suitable airport, is a technical diversion.

Indeed. It was diversion BRU to BRU because of a slat/gear problem. It was reported on Luchtzak.be, and also reported here: http://avherald.com/h?article=497afea4&opt=0 "...The Aviation Herald received information stating that maintenance found the outboard skew sensor 5 failed and the outboard slat #4 breakaway connector open. Maintenance had needed to open the cable assembly to #4 and #5 slats to solve an issue with a heater mat on Apr 29th 2016, the tension of the cables was set too high afterwards causing the breakaway connector to open while the slats retracted..."
