Re: Brussels Airlines in 2022
Don’t forget the maintenance side of things. Even though MX is not as visible from the outside world, introducing a new type, even if it is a derivative, is no small feat. Even a new engine type can cause quite some headaches. (Ref. the introduction of the RR engine on the A330 at BEL).

Re: Trivia 2022 (miscellaneous news)
Speaking from experience: It's not exactly uncommon for pilots to inadvertently transmit a message which was meant for the Cabin Crew on an ATC Frequency. If you were to consider a perfect storm (a pilot from an aircraft taxiing to the runway uses the words "cabin crew take-off in two minutes.&...

Re: BRU 31/03/2022
Anybody with a clue as to what OOSFB is up to? It was scheduled to fly BRU-DLA-NSI-BRU but seemingly diverted on the way back from NSI to TMR (Tamanrasset in Algeria). Then performed a flight from TMR to MRS (Marseille) and is now (1629 local time) finally back at BRU. As far as I can see, it was sc...

Re: BRU 19/03/2022
Whilst I can not be 100% positive, FR24 data does indeed suggest they both performed a touch and go at EBOS.
This kind of routing is rather typical for an acceptance flight, so perhaps re-registration may be happening shortly.

Re: 2022 Military escalation Russia - Ukraine - USA - NATO - Europe
Thanks KriVa. Indeed the signals are willingly transmitted hence my remark. Although previously you could "see" the receiving aircraft in the vicinity of the tanker, now there are none and it is hard to believe that tankers are drilling holes in the sky for hours without being "at wo...

Re: 2022 Military escalation Russia - Ukraine - USA - NATO - Europe
Why would it be a stealth aircraft? Both ADSBExhange and FR24 use ADS-B data as their source, no radars are used. As such, as soon as an aircraft stops transmitting said data, it will be invisible to either of those services. It will however not be invisible to radars if in range, be they land-based...

Re: Anomalies in BRU-ANR-CRL-LGG-OST in 2022
I would assume so.
Historic METAR data shows fog around 100-200 feet at that time, and EBOS is only equipped with ILS CAT I (or equivalent minima on LPV approaches), so they may not have been able to land there.

Re: TUI fly in 2021
Anybody with a clue as to why OOTMZ and OOTMB operated a flight to Quebec on 23/12?
They seem to both have flown back on the same day, so a winter-leasing for Sunwing seems out of the question for this?
Flight numbers were JAF9720 and JAF9601 respectively.

Re: BRU 17/12/2021 Goodbye BAF C130
CH-07 back in the air now.
Seems to be on a pretty direct track to EBFN now.
From what I've heard, there will still be some flying this week, and next week the C130s will be flown out of EBMB for storage. No clue where to.

Re: 747 diversion Ghana - Brussels
Having checked other sources, which I won’t be able (and allowed)to disclose publicly, I very much doubt the veracity of this information too.
Perhaps a diversion to EBLG instead of EBBR happened, but at least for EBBR I can’t find any tail number which sticks out.

The original post didn't mention a loss of pressurisation, only a pressurisation issue, which this certainly is.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2020
Your post was a continuation of an off topic discussion which had no place in this forum, since the originating post of that discussion was, again, a thinly veiled politically motivated post. Hence its removal.

Either that, or they were a continuation on those posts, which had nothing to do with the topic being discussed. If you'd like to discuss this further, feel free to send a PM eith...

Re: The one and only topic on which runway in use @EBBR
When an aircraft gets vectored for a visual approach (or an SRA approach), it will end up on the extended centreline of the runway (straight in front). On the VOR approach, it will end up on Radial 260 from BUB, since it's an offset approach. During daytime, the distinction between the runway and th...
