To make a long story short, Sabena went bankrupt in November 2001, and SN Brussels was immediately created from its regional subsidiary DAT. The DAT planes were painted in Sabena colours and to save costs, the colours were initially unchanged, only the titles were re-painted.

Upon arrival in Manchester I saw a rare view of the once-weekly Syrian B747SP YK-AHA taxiing next to us: I want that one! I hope it won't be snowing in BRU on 8th-10th March :( Why? Don't you like adventures, like landing in AMS, OST or CDG instead of BRU?
