I have no clue why AJK would not be correct. The MD-11s of Western Global visit EBLG quite often on a Bambi callsogn.
Thanks for the info, wasn't aware that Western Cargo was flying frequently under AJK flight no. - and because N581JN arrived into EBLG under a WGA flight no.

Re: Austrian Airlines news in 2018

Planespotters noticed that the new livery of Austrian Airlines - the first newly painted aircraft, 20y-veteran A321-211 OE-LBD returned last week from the paintshop to Vienna - does not include the titles "Lufthansa Group" on the rear part of the fuselage. Speculating whether this was a mistake, an ...

"...Drone strike on a 737 in June 2016 in Charleroi (the airline shall not be named). For convenience, the PIC was asked to report it as a birdstrike..." [/i] Who asked him/her to report it as a birdstrike? M. O'L. himself... no, just kidding. It would be a bit shocking to learn if this happened du...

Re: PowdAir, a new Sion-based airline with flights to a.o. Antwerp

Makes me think to those mails I recieve sometimes: " congratulations, you have won 50.000.000 € with the Spanish Euromillions. Please send us 500 € for the bank transfer costs, and we'll send you the 50 mio ". Sounds quite similar to the way I inherited Nigerian gold mines, was awarded with hundred...

Re: 25-31/10/2018 Aviapartner strike at Brussels Airport

I read that TUI is loading their own planes with people who are qualified to handle the equipment. OMG, I can see Michael O'Leary reading this and saying: "THAT is an idea how we call do it: having our planes loaded by the passengers themselves! They only have to attend a course (and pay Ryanair a ...

Re: 25-31/10/2018 Aviapartner strike at Brussels Airport

Most of the higer Belgian management is brand new and most don't last for more than 1-2 years. One recent idea was to start loading airplanes on the left side because alot of other activities (like fueling, catering etc) happen on the right hand side. I don't mind change and new idea's but when the...

So many critics against these workers on this forum. So many criticizers who (once again) don't have any idea of what they are talking about. So many criticizers who have never been on the tarmac of Brussels Airport. So much ignorance, so much arrogance, so much disrespect. Sad, really sad. [...] E...

So in other words, the trade unions just put the knife to the management's throat and demand that it willingly cuts it themselves. Also, I have the impression that with all the demands, the trade unions are just arranging the deck chairs on the Titanic.

But if I got it correct the huge majority is on strike here....maybe everybody! I honestly doubt that each and every individual is wholeheartedly supporting this irresponsibly long wildcat strike. Re: 25-31/10/2018 Aviapartner strike at Brussels Airport

If a new ground handler would step in and have a need to take over ex-Aviapartner staff, they may not necessarily feel obliged to take over those Aviapartner individuals that played a key role in this strike. I certainly hope so Contrary to some others, I willingly state that I don't want to pose a...

Re: 25-26-27-28-29/10/2018 Aviapartner strike at Brussels Airport

Actually, a wildcat strike is illegal untill the trade unions advise management/ownership that they support the strike. With this strike, this was done indeed - very soon after the wildcat strike started. The trade unions told management that the loaders strike was covered by a strike notice from.....
