Re: SN and its air fare classes (Y, K, L, ...)

Indeed, but I thought everybody now knew how to get the booking class following Homo Aeroportus post above.

Re: SN and its air fare classes (Y, K, L, ...)

In order to know how may award miles and elite qualifying miles/segments you earn with SN flights on United's MileagePlus frequent flyer program, you go to United's home page (www.united.com), click on MileagePlus, then on Earn award miles, then on Airline Partners and finally on brussels airlines a...

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

I will speak for myself (but think it is the opinion of many forum members), when we "bash" SN, we use SN because it is shorter. Most of us, I think, target the top managers and not the front line soldiers who do a good job with the means put at their disposal.

Re: Brussels Airlines in 2018

As regards the TLV "incident", I admit I should have shown some restraint in my comments. It is Indeed hard to believe that ground staff did not speak English, for instance. We (I, the first) should be careful when commenting press articles. However, the "armchair" manager that I am, finds it diffic...

Looks it's a radar problem with OO-SNC... Indeed radar, 140 passangers blocked: http://www.lalibre.be/economie/libre-entreprise/140-passagers-de-brussels-airlines-bloques-a-tel-aviv-depuis-deux-jours-5be0b57ccd70fdc91b47c6f7 www.lalibre.be/economie/libre-entreprise/des-voyageurs-abandonnes-sur-plac...

Re: 25-31/10/2018 Aviapartner strike at Brussels Airport

I agree with Duke. There are other airports not too far away depending on where you live. Slightly off topic : BRU management does not care about clients (airlines and pax, as said many times before). So, that's also another reason to choose another airport. We now know who is in favour or against t...

Re: 25-26-27-28/10/2018 Aviapartner strike at Brussels Airport

So who gives a damn about the Rampie who breaks his back loading bags in the hold of a 73 or the RedCap who runs between stands because he must handle 2 flights simultaneously? Very good analysis, Homo Aeroportus. I don't condone wildcat strikes, but I admit this time, given the inadmissable workin...

Re: Primera Air to launch three U.S. routes from Brussels in 2019

Indeed (mentioned before in this thread if I'm not mistaken). I presume we (all ?) agree that if they dare to launch an evening flight to NYC and, let's say, a late afternoon flight to BOS, AB should operate from BRU since these flights should attract a substantial number of high yield pax and not C...

Re: Primera Air to launch three U.S. routes from Brussels in 2019

I truly feel sorry for Primera Air's crews and pax. It shows you cannot be an amateur or if you have little experience, there is no room for unbridled expansion. I hope Norwegian will keep on flying. Their rescue fares are a lot better than FR's that is just doing another of their free publicity stu...

Re: Ryanair in 2018

Please, do'nt use words like "Gestapo". They are too historically and politically charged and no airline CEO in the Western world, is using gestapo methods. Imho, the best word one can use is "rogue CEO" or "rogue airline". Please, be careful when you use certains words. As to "innocent passengers",...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

When you arrive, you take a ticket, you get 10 minutes free drop off, when you leave, at the exit barrier you put your ticket in the machine. If you did not exceed your free ten minutes, the barrier opens. For every extra minute you will.be charged one euro to be paid.in coins or with a bank or cre...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

Not really, Flying Scout. As far as I am concerned, I would like the former drop off area to reopen with very strict and merciless (immediate high fines) supervising, to avoid that it becomes a parking lot instead of a drop off area, as in the past. Another and perhaps even better option could be to...

Re: Brussels Airport (BRU) infrastructure: future

Better train connections are part of the solution. Not everybody lives near a train station where trains stop to go to BRU (even with just one stopover). However, better timetables and more frequencies can help. As to the price of the train ticket, I would suggest to the NMBS/SNCB to lower the fares...

Re: Can Belgian airlines be successful ?

I'm not sure this topic will generate a lot of comments, but let's see... The question we have probably asked already, but is worth asking again, is : why don't Belgian airlines succeed to be successful or at least to survive ? Lack of competent management ? Lack of competent shareholders ? Lack of...

Re: Norwegian in 2018

Trouble probably because of expanding too much too fast.
On the other hand, they might try many different routes to find out which ones work and which do not, in order to operate, in the end, only the profitable routes.
Time will tell...

Re: A further deterioration of the Brussels Airport website

For those who had not, yet, realized or did not want to admit it, the sole aim of BRU management, including A.F., is to make a maximum of profits to please the shareholders, not the clients, airlines and pax who pay heavy airport charges. The hall of the old terminal was renovated to mainly host eve...
