Company North Sea Aviation Center (NSAC) is building a business terminal at Ostend-Bruges Airport, dedicated to private flights and business flights, with enough space for aircraft and helicopters.

The airport recorded an increase of 27.7% in the summer months July and August compared to the same period in 2016, representing 106,090 passengers.

In addition to building a new general aviation terminal we will also handle (cargo) aircraft up to 45.5 tons, and we will provide a modern parking area for private aircraft and helicopters,” says CEO Jef De Kinder. “We will also offer maintenance services for aircraft and helicopters in cooperation with Gill Aviation. In our business model we are also adding: passenger transport, catering, flight planning and aircraft sales.

Marcel Buelens, airport CEO adds: “The airport is welcoming more and more private jets, especially because the airport of Kortrijk-Wevelgem doesn’t comply with European standards anymore. Ostend Airport is back on the map, and regional airports are back in business. Besides it’s a public secret that I am jealous of Le Touquet Airport (France) where every weekend between 150 and 200 private aircraft land at that airport. We want them here as well.

In recent years Katy Perry, Lady Gaga, Tom Jones and Pierce Brosnan arrived via Ostend Airport, they want privacy. General aviation ranges between 5 and 10 % of our income. 24.0000 flight movements per year, 40 % of these flights are general aviation.
