Russian AirBridgeCargo moves partly away from Amsterdam Schiphol to start flying from Liège

Due to slot restrictions at Amsterdam Schiphol Airport, where up to 37 freighter flights per week should disappear in the Winter 2017/2018 schedules, cargo airlines are looking for other airports.

AirBridgeCargo (ABC), one of the biggest Russian cargo airlines and Russian market leader, has now decided to fly three times per week to Liège Airport.

AirBridgeCargo is well connected with Frankfurt, Amsterdam and Paris in Europe, but they are also flying to Atlanta, Chicago and Seattle in the United States, as well as to Shanghai, Beijing and Seoul.

Schiphol Airport has reached its saturation point of 500,000 annual flights, hence ABC has decided to move part of its 23 weekly Amsterdam flights to other airports.

According to newspaper Le Soir, ABC will connect Moscow with Liège three times per week, and this will gradually increase to 12 weekly flights. Lachs (Liège Air Cargo Handling Service) will be responsible for the handling.
