On 1 June, Belgian engineer Johan Vanneste, CEO of Luxembourg airport since 2014, will take the helm of Cologne/Bonn airport, the German airport announced. Vanneste (57) has been active for years in the aeronautical sector. From 2003 to 2010, he was CEO of VLM Airlines, before becoming operational director of TNT Airways in Liège.
Johan Vanneste signed a three-year contract in Germany. He will manage more than 1,800 people.
Cologne/Bonn airport handled 12.4 million passengers and 840,000 tonnes of goods in 2017, a record in both segments.
