Lack of Swissport staff or social actions: delayed flights and disgruntled passengers at Brussels Airport

Brussels Airlines tweeted this morning that due to social actions of the baggage handling partner Swissport, most of its flights were delayed between 30 minutes and 1 hour. While union delegate Kurt Callaerts tweets that due to lack of staff -scheduled by management- the flights are delayed.

Brussels Airlines: Due to social actions at our baggage handling partner Swissport, most of our flights are currently delayed by 30 minutes to 1 hour.

 

We do our utmost to get all baggage loaded and unloaded from the planes and to get you to your destination as soon as possible. If you flew into Brussels and your baggage did not arrive, please create a missing baggage file, in order to avoid the queues at the airport. If you flew out of Brussels and your baggage did not arrive at destination, please go to the lost and found desk in the respective airport.
