This morning Belgian Federal Minister for Transport, François Bellot (MR) invited the ministers of the three regions to discuss the Brussels Region noise regulation, newspapers Het Nieuwsblad and Le Soir report this Sunday afternoon.

Minister Bellot wanted to force a breakthrough in the discussion on aircraft noise over the Brussels Region. But the consultation ended without any progress: no compromise solution was put on the table. Tomorrow the Flemish government will invoke a new conflict of interest, which has as effect to freeze the current situation for 60 days. The Flemish government had promised to do so again if there would be no solution.

A new meeting of the conciliation committee will take place tomorrow Monday.
