A Ryanair Boeing 737-800 (EI-EMD) from Malta to Brussels encountered a problem with the flaps while approaching the Belgian airport yesterday evening (26 November), at 850 feet the pilots decided to go around. Emergency services were waiting as a precaution but the aircraft landed safely on runway 25R 30 minutes after the first approach.
About 1h30 later another aircraft (EI-DCF) was used for the flight back to Malta.
28 hours after the incident, the first aircraft is still on the ground in Brussels.
