From 29 October British Airways will operate a Boeing 787-9 between two major International Airlines Group (IAG) hubs: London Heathrow and Madrid Barajas.

The British Airways 787-9 Dreamliner, which made its first commercial flight from Heathrow to Delhi in October 2015, is the most technologically advanced aircraft in British Airways’ fleet.

Not sure the long-haul seat configuration is used; in that case the airline’s 787-9 Dreamliner offers eight seats in its First cabin, 42 seats in Club World, 39 in World Traveller Plus and another 127 for those seated in World Traveller.

The aircraft is scheduled on Monday, Thursday and Saturday:

BA 460 LHR 13:20 – 16:45 MAD
BA 461 MAD 18:10 – 19:30 LHR (18:15 – 19:35 on Thursday)

On the other days a Boeing 777 will continue to operate.
