Model Imogen Waterhouse celebrates Winter Schedule

Model and ski-lover, Imogen Waterhouse posed at Gatwick to celebrate the start of British Airways’ new winter schedule, which has taken flight this week.

Poised at the top of a British Airways slide as though she’s about to hit the slopes, and with a birdseye view from the wing of a Boeing 777, model Imogen Waterhouse, said: “I love soaking up the sun on the slopes over the winter season. Being at the top of a mountain with spectacular views and crisp air is one of the most uplifting and empowering things to do.

British Airways captured the ski shots of the model during the aircraft’s regular slide safety check, in which they inflate the emergency evacuation slides to ensure they meet the company’s stringent safety standards. Meanwhile, Ski fans can take advantage of hitting the slopes for real with a brand new flight from Heathrow to Turin from November 26, a former winter Olympic city which is only a 90-minute drive from top Italian ski resorts such as Courmayeur. The airline is also offering winter sports enthusiasts based in the North of England the chance to maximise time on the pistes with new seasonal flights from Manchester to picture perfect winter destinations, Chambery and Salzberg until April 2018.

To bring some sunshine to Brits as the temperatures start to drop and the days start to draw in, the airline also launches a new seasonal weekly flight to Tenerife from Heathrow. For those looking for a sophisticated weekend break, the airline is introducing new flights from London City to Reykjavik, Paris and Prague this winter.

Sean Doyle, British Airways’ director of networks and alliances, said: “The start of the new ski season is always a highly anticipated event. We’re extremely proud of the network we offer at British Airways, which is designed to get our customers from airport to piste in as little time as possible with flights to some of the most desirable locations at the most convenient times.

“Our winter schedule this year offers a fantastic and affordable combination of winter ski and sun options, so there’s something for everybody.”

Skiers flying with British Airways can pack their skis and ski poles as part of their generous checked baggage (with the exception of hand-baggage only fares), and bags can be up to 190cm in length without incurring any additional charges.
