Driving on congested motorways, then looking for a parking space and paying high parking charges? There is a more pleasant way to travel to the airport: Germania passengers can now select Rail&Fly tickets and travel to the airport with Deutsche Bahn. Tickets costing 35 euros one way and 70 euros return per person are already available for booking through Germania in conjunction with a flight. There is a 25 percent reduction for children under 12, while infants under 2 years of age travel free.
“We are delighted to offer our passengers this additional service,” said Paul Scodellaro, Director Scheduled Service at Germania, on announcing the launch of these tickets. “Germania is always keen to deliver a dependable travel experience that avoids everyday stress and ensures affordable comfort and convenience for our guests.” Rail&Fly has been made possible by switching Germania’s reservation systems to Amadeus Altéa. It allows the airline with the green and white aircraft to incorporate new services in its offering.
The Rail&Fly ticket is valid for 2nd class travel on any DB train (including ICE, IC and EC services) and on all routes operated by Deutsche Bahn. It can be used on the date of departure and the day before, as well as on the date of arrival and the following day. Customers can use the ticket to travel on the DB network from any railway station in Germany to their chosen Germania departure airport and are not restricted to a specific train.
