The most popular summer seasonal destinations of Latvian airline airBaltic during the Easter holidays this year were Madrid, Malaga and Athens. However, over the Easter holidays, the largest number of passengers travelled from Riga to Moscow, Tallinn and London.

Eva Plakane, SVP Revenue Management at airBaltic: “The Easter holidays coincided with the first weekend of our summer schedule. We saw a lot of traffic to our top holiday destinations, including our new destinations to Malaga, Lisbon and Gdansk. Soon we will also resume flights to such summer favourites as Venice, Malta, Rhodes and Mallorca.”

This spring, we will launch a total of eight new destinations from Riga. During the upcoming weeks, the inaugural flights between Riga and Almaty, Bordeaux, Split, Sochi and Kaliningrad are yet to take place, in addition to the flights launched last week,” Plakane added.

For summer 2018 airBaltic adds nine new destinations to its route map. In total airBaltic will offer more than 70 direct services from Riga, Tallinn and Vilnius this summer. In addition, airBaltic will also improve service for the summer season by adding additional frequencies for such destinations from Riga to Odessa, Paris, Munich, Warsaw, Moscow, Milan among others.
