The Latvian airline airBaltic has seen a 60% increase in the number of mobile bookings in 2017, compared to 2016. The share of bookings made from mobile devices has increased by 30%.

Jouni Juhani Oksanen, SVP e-Commerce, Sales and Marketing of airBaltic: “Our continuous iterations to improve mobile experience have come a long way and are showing strong results as a significantly larger share of passengers now choose to book trips using a mobile device.

In order to provide the easiest booking process, we do not require our passengers to download an application. Instead, we offer to conveniently book trips using our website,” Oksanen added.

In 2017, airBaltic transported a total of 3 523 300 passengers or 22% more than year before to its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, Russia, CIS and the Middle East. It is the highest number of passengers carried in airline’s history.

airBaltic serves over 60 destinations from its home base in Riga, Latvia. From every one of these locations, airBaltic offers convenient connections via Riga to its network spanning Europe, Scandinavia, the CIS and the Middle East. airBaltic also offers direct flights from Tallinn and Vilnius.
