KLM has taken note of the fact that the Customs and Border Protection (CBP) has made an exception for the two Iranian passengers who were stopped by them last Saturday at the airport, allowing them to continue their journey to the US.

KLM is pleased that there is an end to the resulting period of uncertainty for such passengers, and that they may continue their journey to their families in the US.

KLM emphasizes that it has been understood from CBP in all cases that the relevant passengers would be denied entry to the US.

Eventually, the CBP in the US has decided to allow the passengers in question as a highly exceptional case. The reason for the exception made is not known to KLM. In the interest of its customers and in line with IATA, KLM calls for a rapid clarification of the amended regulations.
